ABOUT UAKARI FLOATING LODGE PROGRAMS - in their own words:
REGULAR PROGRAMS
All our regular programs include daily activities, that might vary according to the time of the year you are visiting and the length of your stay with us. The tours are at 7AM and at 3:30PM and we also have presentations in the evenings, after dinner, in a few of the nights.
Visit to the communities, boat tours and the interpretative trail are always in bigger groups. Trails are in groups of up to 5 people and the canoe tours are in pairs.

3-NIGHT PROGRAM - TUESDAY-FRIDAY
Drought stage - September-March
It’s good for people that don’t have much time to travel and need to know the places they pass. 3 nights at the Lodge are ideal for them. They will be able to enjoy all flooded forest environments, observe their scenic beauties, see fauna along the trails and in Mamirauá lake. And they will be able to know how riverine people live. They are going to have the chance to increase their knowledge with lectures given by a naturalist guide and by the researchers. Daily contact with the guides and other employees will also increase their knowledge.
Flood stage - April-|August
It’s the ideal package to enjoy the trip as much as possible with little time. During the flood stage it’s not possible to go hiking, but people can canoe in the forest and it has a significant role as well. Besides, it’s possible to take a boat trip, to visit a riverine community and learn about local habit. Daily contact with the guides and other employees will also increase visitor’s knowledge.
4-NIGHT PROGRAM - FRIDAY-TUESDAY
Drought Stage – September to March
During the 4 nights you will be able to know the different habitats that freshwater swamp forests offer, to walk in the forest during the day or at night, to go to paddling trails, to see the sunset and come back looking for animals at night with motor canoe. You will meet a riverine community, where you’re going to learn about local people life and see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researcher.
Flood Stage – April to August
Not taking a walk doesn’t compromise your trip during flood stage. It makes you feel a unique sensation while you go to paddling trails in flooded forests. Besides, you’ll be able to know other places using a motor canoe, a riverine community and see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers

Friday-Friday or Tuesday-Tsesday
Flood Stage – April to August
You have plenty of time to enjoy this unique moment. You’ll be able to know many flooded trails with a paddle canoe and visit distant places with a motor canoe. It’s also possible to visit two local communities, try to catch piranha and know much more about the Amazon forest with lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers. If you prefer, you can sleep a night in a suspended house in the forest and wake up with the animals sounds.
Drought Stage – September to March
If you have more time and you want to know as much as possible about Mamirauá reserve, the 7-night package is excellent. In this period you can double the activities: walk on more trails, take more paddle canoe and motor canoe tours during the day or at night. You can enjoy sport fishing and try to get closer and know piranha. You can also visit two traditional communities. To complete the schedule, you can see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers. It’s also possible to spend the night in a suspended house in the forest. That’s a unique experience.
