ABOUT THE HACIENDA - in their own words
Hacienda Sarapampa is a family business dedicated to the production of Cusco Giant White corn. For three generations in the Sacred Valley, the owners have keep the traditions associated with corn farming, back country cuisine  and the sweet and simple living of the hacienda life. 

“Sarapampa” is a word from the Quechua language meaning "cornfield". Situated in a privileged location in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the property is just 40 minutes from the city of Cusco and 5 minutes from the town of Pisac. Hacienda Sarapampa offers visitors the opportunity to have a unique cultural experience around traditions associated with corn production practices in an authentic and natural environment.

Opened to visitors in 2015, Hacienda Sarapampa offers a unique vivential experience in an working farm where you can learn fisrt hand about the Cusco Giant White corn and its production, the hacienda life and delight yourself with a Farm to Table lunch while you enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Be our guest and experience the real taste of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

At Hacienda Sarapampa we strive to deliver the best possible ingredients to your table. All natural, organically grow in our own gardens and by local farmers.

In Hacienda Sarapampa we invite you to taste traditional receipes from our grandma´s recipe book with the touch of our chef and the most fresh ingredients directly from our vegetable orchard and local farmers. No GMOs here folks, pure naturally grown products.

Hacienda Sarapampa wants to share the experience of Giant White Corn production and show you why it is so special.  You will learn about the origin of such a special variety and show you how farming was done during pre-columbian and colonial times from cultivation to trade in the international markets.

Giant White Cusco corn has transformed the local economy within the last 70 years and each year is a new challenge for farmers who are dedicated to its production. Some of the challenges include climate change, intensive farming and finding communion between old agricultural traditions and new technologies.

The Giant White Corn is a legacy that is ours by right. We feel a deep responsibility to preserve and seek its continuous improvement for future generations of farmers.  Hacienda Sarapampa is not a hotel or a restaurant.
