PATAGONIA CAMP - FAQS and answers - in their own words

Do the rooms have television?
Patagonia Camp has been created for our guests to enjoy the exuberant nature of Torres del Paine to the maximum. It is a place to isolate yourself from the world and work, so our yurts do not have television.

Do the rooms have telephone?
Rooms have telephones to contact reception or other yurts for any needs our guests may have. Direct international dialing and direct national dialing are available.

Is there a business center at Patagonia Camp?
There is WIFI in the Lounge & Bar area and a computer available for guest use. It is important to note, however, that it is satellite internet service in a remote location and can occasionally be very slow.

Does Patagonia Camp provide transfer service to and from Cerro Castillo?
We have a transfer service to and from Cerro Castillo, included in our All Inclusive Programs.

Does Patagonia Camp have medical facilities?
No, at Patagonia Camp we do not have medical facilities although our guides do have WFR (Wilderness First Responder) Training. In addition, the nearest hospital is in Puerto Natales, only one hour from Patagonia Camp and there is ambulance service available both from Torres del Paine Park Administration and from Puerto Natales.

What is the tipping policy?
Tips depend on each individual guest and their satisfaction with services; however, it is usual to leave a US$20 daily tip for general staff and US$5 for luggage valet. Tips for guides and drivers are separate and depend on each guest.

Is it possible to communicate with guests in the event of an emergency?
Patagonia Camp has a satellite telephone, and the number is 56-61-360 440 / 56-61-360 441. Guests can also be contacted by e-mail at camp@patagoniacamp.com

What is the difficulty level of excursions?
Patagonia Camp excursions have designed for persons with average physical fitness, whether children, teens or adults. Excursions are half-day or full-day and the most demanding expeditions are the treks to Torres del Paine Base and to Valle del Francés.

Can the programs be modified?
Our REGULAR programs have been designed for guests arriving from Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales or Cerro Castillo. Any changes to the program will be considered an optional service and have an additional cost.

Are there alternative options to the daily menu?
Our menus are prepared with the traditional products of Patagonian cuisine, such as lamb, southern hake, calafate berries and others. Please let us know ahead of time on your reservation form if you have any dietary restrictions due to health, religious or any other reason.
