In the northeastern region of Lake Titicaca lies Suasi, a private 43-hectare island where everything is different: dawn, rain, storms, twilight. Closer to the sun and the moon, Suasi offers a unique way to experience the Titicaca, a burst of magic inviting introspection.

Lake Titicaca is located at 3810 meters above sea level and covers 8400 km2. Close to the island of Suasi, the deepest part of the lake reaches a depth of 280 meters. The great volume of water has a thermoregulatory function giving birth to life, domestication of species and culture.

The Tihuanaco culture was developed more than 1500 years ago, leaving numerous archaeological remains like complex hydraulic and agriculture systems. Later, the Uros, Aymaras and Quechuas inhabited the lake, until the arrival the Spanish who found Puno in 1688. The Lake Titicaca National Reserve is located in the department of Puno, with a surface area of 37 hectares that host more than 60 species of seabirds, 4 local fish and 18 amphibians, as well as local plants, camelids and other mammals.
