ABOUT POSADA SALENTEIN - in their own words: The the imposing background of the mountains and the famous vineyards of the Uco Valley surrounding it, the Posada Salentein can be found in the heart of the El Portillo, San Pablo and La Pampa estates. A magic place where one can enjoy the hospitality of those who know how to be hosts, of the regional meals served with the wines of Bodegas Salentein, as well as taking advantage of the area to do trekking or have bicycle rides and tasting the wines in the cellars of the winery; only to find on returning the warmth of a lit fireplace with a faint aroma of spices in the air.

History of Bodgeas Salentein- (in their own words: The lands that now belong to this enterprise witnessed feats and great deeds; a region where the good will and efforts were transmitted from generation to generation, including not only the indigenous people and Jesuit missions but also important figures such as General San Martin. Finca San Pablo, one of the company's properties, has a very rich history that goes back to the 17th century. In the past, it was part of the estancia called "De Arriba", that belonged to the Society of Jesus. The ruins of "Casa Grande" are located at more than 1,500 metres above sea level, in the heart of the finca. This historic farmhouse, surrounded by an old grove, was built by the Jesuits, who were already developing viticultural activities. Nowadays, after more than 200 years, Bodegas Salentein grows Pinot Noir in Finca San Pablo, reliving that old great deed with a forward-looking approach and the aim of making a worldwide wine with a remarkable origin.
