ABOUT FINCA ADALGISA WINE HOTEL, VINEYARD & WINERY - in their own words:
Finca Adalgisa, a small paradise situated amongst an old Malbec vineyard, is at the heart of Mendoza’s Wine Route. The property has 11 rooms and a small Winery. Enjoy Tapas and Wine, Cooking Class AND THE BBQ.Experience.

Finca Adalgisa is a place with history, which dates back to the 20th. century. The Malbec grapes which surround us were planted in 1916. Back then Chacras de Coria was a small town of summer homes and little farms. The Finca was purchased by my grandmother Lila Moretti, as a weekend home.

The family was founded by the Morettis and the Furlottis, both imigrant families from Italy. The Morettis were a well known family of lawyers, who arrived in Mendoza from Tuscany, Italy. They settled in Mendoza in the 19th century. My grandfather, Pedro Moretti, was a senator for he Mendoza parlament and was a professor at law school. The Furlotti family arrived from Parma, Italy, to Mendoza in 1893.Shortly after their arrival they bought their first vineyard and soon the family owned 180 hectars and produced its own wine. The family business became very successful.

The Furlottis as the Morettis have always played an active role in the local communities and supported amoung others the construction of the Italien Hospital in Mendoza.

The Finca was converted into a hotel in 2002, in an effort to preserve the history of the family and in order to preserve the traditional Malbec vineyard.

The Furlotti-Moretti family who own it, have been living on the property for 3 generations.

EXPERIENCES
WINE:   Traditional & autentic Style of Wine making The Malbec grapes for our own wine grow on the Finca. We are very proud of our own wine, which is produced in the small winery on the property. Each year we produce about 5000 bottles. The wine is offered exclusively to our hotel guests, when at the evening they come over to the bar at the Winery where we also serve tapas. Finca Adalgisa Winery and Wines are only available for the guests of the Hotel. We are not open for visitors or tourism. We will be glad to coordinate a visit to the family winery called BODEGA FURLOTTI, where we elaborate the wines of Familia Furlotti
COOKING CLASS WITH CRISTINA BRINO By using typical ingredients Cristina prepares unique plates generating harmony between the regional products she uses. She works with fresh products only and some of them are cultivated and recently harvested at the Finca´s green garden. The classes are around  two and a half hours long and could be taken in groups from 2 up to a maximum of  8 people. We will prepare “empanadas mendocinas” in the clay oven. Then continue making meat and vegetables on the open fire with fresh chumichurri sauce based on Arauco olive oil from the Finca itself. Finally the class will end with a desert: caramelized fruit from the clay oven, topped off with herbs from the Finca.
BBQ EXPERIENCE
TAPAS & WINE Every evening after 6pm we will be glad to offer to all our guests a welcome glass of wine. A menu of Tapas and Wine made with local products  will be available for dinner.  An unique experience, relax with the view of the vineyard and enjoy our wines!
