GETTING TO BARRA MANSA:

We are located in the rural area of Aquidauana city, South Pantanal – Brazil.

 

It is easy to get here. The main access to Barra Mansa is by plane from Campo Grande, Aquidauana and Bonito which are all in Mato Grosso do Sul state. There are specialised air companies in these cities, with a range of planes and prices. The charter flights provide a panoramic view of the Pantanal and are available to fly all year round.

 

During the dry season (May to November) there are better road conditions so it is also possible to get to Barra Mansa by 4x4 vehicles.

 

WHY BARRA MANSA?

Barra Mansa is a traditional lodge in the Pantanal. We have been operating since 1996. Here you are host by the land owner family who has been living in the Pantanal since end of the nineteenth century.

 

It is great place to meet Pantanal people, experience local culture, lifestyle, and food whilst still being part of a unique environment.

 

Our lodge is unique in its location because it is where the vazante meets the Negro River and tranquil waters flow. This is a perfect spot to watch the sunset behind the bridge and have relaxing encounter with nature.

 

Here you will have an exclusive guide take you around and schedule your tours. You are welcome to choose what you want to do, what time to leave and what time to return. We organise all tours and activities according to your preference.

 

The experience offered by Barra Mansa is ideal for families, couples on honeymoon, groups of friends, and people with particular interests.

Our rooms are simple and comfortable, featuring the typical Pantanal hosting. The exuberance of the decoration is due to the beautiful landscapes that brighten the rooms through the window.

 

Even with a full house it is still possible to have intimate encounter with nature because our maximum capacity at Barra Mansa Hotel is 17 people. We have various room sizes ranging from double sized to quadruple sized. We also offer a private house equipped with a fridge and living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom, ideal for families or friends traveling together.
