LEISURE:
Cultivating laziness can really be wonderful. But after savoring so many delicacies in our restaurants, it is always good to engage in some exercise so that it won't weigh on the conscience. And there are many options at the Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso Spa : classes in a variety of sports and Bahian dances, as well as a program of activities specifically for children at Careta Careta Club, which will have every kid up and moving.There are more than 30 different activities for adults, youth, and children that range from water sports to traditional activities such as volleyball, water aerobics, and soccer. Everything is carefully planned and monitored by qualified instructors, in order to help you achieve a better quality of life.
DIVING:
Crystal clear waters bordered by 12 kilometers of beach, the rich marine fauna and flora and climate that favors underwater visibility, Praia do Forte is, without a doubt, a perfect place to dive. Natural pools, such as those of Papa Gente, that are formed during low tide are ideal for snorkeling. But it's also possible to dive in sites as deep as 35 meters (scuba diving) to see a true underwater spectacle of rich beauty come to light.The best time of year to dive, always monitored by experts, is from October to February, in accordance with weather conditions. And what's best: the temperature of the water is, in average, comfortable 26° C.
WATER SPORTS:
The sun, the wind, and a sea with warm and beautiful waters: that's not only an appropriate, but also inviting, setting for practicing a variety of water sports. Take advantage of our 12-kilometer beach and marked area in the bay in front of the hotel, whether by simply lying in the sun on the sands of the beach, or diving in the crystal-clear and refreshing waters of the sea, or sailing on an optimist, for example. TENNIS:
We have 4 courts (2 Lisonda and 2 fast tennis courts). One of them is reserved for classes and the others can be reserved in advance by guests of the hotel for use between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. In addition, if you want to learn how to play tennis, you can take lessons from our instructors. Classes last no longer than 30 minutes. Service at additional cost.FISHING:
At Sea Deep-Sea Fishing
This is a four-hour activity on a motorboat. P articipants get their safety and fishing equipment from the hotel. The boat takes you from six to seven miles from the coast; fishing is done with artificial bait. The most common fish caught are the dourado , cavala (mackerel) and albacora (albacore, of the tuna family). The best time to go deep-sea fishing is between November and March. As the river is short and narrow and borders the mangroves along most of its passage through the area, it is possible to use regular or artificial bait. The fish most commonly found are the robalo (snook), caranha (snapper), and carapeba (mojarra). The Praia do Forte EcoResort & Thalasso Spa has built three small piers along the river, which are ideal for fishing at the end of the afternoon. At low tide, it is possible to go fishing in the area where the sea and the river meet. In this area you may catch robalos (snooks), bagres (catfish), xaréus (jacks), and peixes-espadas (swordfish).At the Pojuca River
Fishing in this river, which is larger and farther from the Praia do Forte EcoResort 2,700 meters away makes it possible to catch bagres (catfish), xaréus (jacks), peixes-espadas (sworfish), robalos (snooks), caranhas (snappers) with either regular or artificial bait.ECO-TOURISM:

Visit the national headquarters of the project for the protection of sea turtles in Brazil TAMAR/IBAMA and learn a little more about this project, which plays an important role in the protection of several sea turtle species.SAPIRANGA - Sapiranga Natural Reserve
Go on an adventure in the tropical rainforest, on trails through the secondary Atlantic Rainforest of the Sapiranga Natural Reserve. Those who are a bit bolder can challenge gravity by going down the breathtaking tirolesa (zip lining). In addition to getting to know the local fauna and flora better, it is also possible to take a relaxing dip in the riverCASTLE - Ruins of the Garcia D'Ávila Castle
