ACTIVITIES AT THE RANCH

The low river passes through the ranch and the humming of its flow accompanies, through forest, long walks, horseback rides and cycling trips. Its banks are a picturesque place for having a gourmet picnic or the best Argentine asado.

When it comes to relaxation, the swimming pool with solarium and the view to the mountain ranges of Ascochinga or some time at the spa are the leading choices.

At any time of the day, more than 137 species of birds that fly through the sky and live in the nearby trees can be sighted. Among them, the Hummingbird stands out. It has given its name to the ranch and you can notice a special magic in its flight

POLO

Polo a la carte
Experiencing the Argentine countryside means participating in its sport par excellence, polo, like in few other places in the world. At El Colibri Estancia de Charme, polo occupies a place of privilege and this is a passion to be shared.

The enjoyment of playing on specially bred and cared-for horses in a wonderful setting, assisted by prominent professionals is a unique opportunity. Taking theoretical and practical classes or participating in customized clinics and revealing some of the secrets of this sport is a way to fully enjoy the experience.

El Colibri Estancia de Charme has its own Polo Club, the Colibrí Polo Club. It is registered with the Argentine Polo Horse Breeders Association and participates in national and provincial tournaments.

At the end of a day of polo, you are invited to enjoy a typical mate (in a pumpkin recipient), Argentine barbecue and the best wines of this country.

If you are passionate for polo, you will find at El Colibrí Polo Club the perfect place to practice and have the possibility to learn this very complete sport accompanied by professionals and high performance sportsmen.

Two fields of maxi size with sideboards are the ideal space to practice for all levels. A permanent irrigation system ensures an optimal state the field and the natural surrounding landscape of the Estancia El Colibrí de Charme can be enjoyed in every game. At the close of every game, an asado criollo (traditional barbecue) or a drink with friends at the comfortable Club House is the best way to end an unforgettable day.

El Colibrí Estancia de Charme has its own Polo Club, El Colibrí Polo Club that participates in provincial and national tournaments on horses bred and cared for at the ranch.

GOLF
There are three 18-hole courses where you can enjoy luxury golf. Staff at the ranch organizes transportation from El Colibri to any of the most important courts in the area.

• Ascochinga Golf Club
  Only 15 minutes from El Colibrí, Ascochinga Golf Club 18-hole course is one of the most picturesque in the country. Surrounded by mountains, native vegetation, and a variety of birds, lakes, crystalline streams and springs, this is a unique landscape.
• Córdoba Golf Club
  In the town of Villa Allende, an hour away from El Colibrí, Córdoba Golf Club is in a mountain setting with special beauty and topography. The layout of the field, with several drops, challenges the player to make varied strokes from different angles with excellent conditions for the practice of traditional English style.
  This is the home of Angel "Pato" Cabrera (Winner of the US Open 07 and 2009 Masters Tournament) and Eduardo "Gato" Romero (Winner of the US Senior Open 08). Par 72, Cordoba Golf Club is location for the most important tournament in the interior of the country for professionals and amateurs.
• La Cumbre Golf Club
  On the mountainside of the Punilla Valley in the Sierras Chicas, La Cumbre Golf Club invites you to enjoy golf in a spectacular natural environment. With an average altitude of 1200 meters and a surface area of 6001 yards, it has 18 holes divided into four par 5, eight par 4 and six par 3.
