Deep Blue is one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean. Located on the beautiful Colombian island of Providencia and surrounded by stunning turquoise waters, this luxury hotel has been offering guests the experience of a lifetime for 20 years. After a complete renovation in 2010-2012, and under new ownership and management, the hotel is now more luxurious than ever
Deep Blue is surrounded by verdant tropical forest with a splendid view towards Crab Caye and the dreamlike Caribbean sea. Well-loved for many years for its truly breathtaking views and privileged coastal location, the hotel has a beautifully located restaurant and a shallow infinity-edged whirlpool with an unforgettable panorama.
The warm, casual atmosphere of the restaurant and deck over the sea delight all of our visitors. Combined with the stunning views from the sun loungers, the serene ambience makes for a very romantic escape. Our restaurant and deck are the perfect place to unwind whilst sipping island inspired cocktails, catching the sun’s rays or preparing for a dip in the shimmering Caribbean sea.
Relax to the sounds of the gently lapping waves whilst reading a book, or for those who prefer more action, a variety of fun activities and experiences can be arranged by our staff, including complimentary use of our sea kayaks to explore the alluring waters of the nearby McBean Lagoon Marine National Park.

RESTAURANT Breakfast is served until late and offers fresh fruits, homemade breads, pancakes and fresh eggs made to order. Our bar, restaurant and relaxation deck have a non-pretentious atmosphere and offer guests the opportunity to enjoy the activity beloved by so many visitors to the Caribbean – to laze on a sun lounger, sipping a tropical cocktail whilst admiring a remarkable multi-shaded sea. The seaside restaurant has an atmosphere that is particularly relaxing under the moonlight. |
GETTING HERE
Set on a hillside overlooking the pristine Caribbean Sea, Deep Blue is a 10 minute taxi ride from the small airport in Providencia.To reach the peaceful oasis of Providencia Island, fly first to our neighbouring Colombian island, which is called San Andres. San Andres Island is a popular and busy tourist destination, and some of our guests choose to spend time there before visiting us in the more tranquil Providencia.
To travel onwards from San Andres to Providencia, the airlines Satena and Searca offer short 15 minute flights that should be booked in advance.
