ABOUT CASA LAPOSTOLLE VINEYARDS:
Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet founded Casa Lapostolle in 1994 purchasing an estate full of gnarled old vines in the Colchagua Valley. Alexandras great-grandfather was Alexandre Marnier who created Grand Marnier in 1880 and the namesake of the winerys Cuvée Alexander. Employing classic French winemaking techniques with the internationally renowned wine consultant Michel Rolland, Casa Lapostolle produced their first vintage in 1997.
The company has approximately 300 hectares of its own vineyards in the prime red-wine site of the Colchagua Valley and the prime white-wine site of the Casablanca Valley. The total production if the winery is about 18,000 cases a year of which all but 5% is exported, mostly to the United States.
