Twenty years ago, the Bisquertt's, a family of pioneer farmers at Cochagua, began planting their vineyards with varieities from France which arrived in Chile during the 19th century. Since the beginning of the '90's. Vina Bisquertt has been bottling and exporting their own brands. Presently, Vina Bisquertt owns 1,320 acres of vineyards planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Chardonnay and Sauvingnon Blanc varieities. It includes the most advanced existing technology, with a capacity of 8 million liters. Annual production is 4 million liters of export wine for North America, Europe and Asia.
