|The Mayan Inn is located in the heart of
Chichicastenango, within a block of one end of the famed market. It has been welcoming
guests since 1932 when the late Alfred S. Clark first opened the Inn. Mr. Clark searched
the country for colonial chests, figures, mirrors, chairs and benches creating a museum of
Spanish art for it's guests to enjoy.
There are a total of 30 rooms, each its own museum. When you arrive you will be greeted by one of the QUICHE-MAYA attendants who will lead you to your room. Enter through a covered Spanish doorway where a warm fire greets you, along with many pieces of Spanish colonial art.
There are 3 unique dining rooms for breakfast,
lunch and dinner with a tasteful blend of international and local dishes for your
enjoyment. The lounge and bar create a warm atmosphere for you to enjoy your favorite
cocktail, wine or beer, all expertly prepared. Step outside and you'll hear music-unusual,
intriguing...it's Marimba being played in the patio.
