ABOUT THE BAE 146-200: The aircraft BAE-146 was manufactured in the United Kingdom by British Aerospace (which later became part of BAE Systems). It is a high-wing aircraft with very short runaway requirements which make it particularly suited for these kind of destinations. It is operated by Aerovías DAP, which has more than 20 years of experience of flying in Patagonia and Antarctica.

The major advantages of incorporating this new aircraft in the "Fly & Cruise" concept are:

The reduced flying window needed to reach to Antarctica will consequently reduce over 50% the risk of delaying or canceling the flight due to unfavorable weather conditions at the landing site. We remind you that in ANTARCTICA XXI history no air-cruise has ever been cancelled as consequence of the impossibility to fly to Antarctica, and in less than 10% of departures the delay has overcome a few hours.
